SIR - I agree in some part to comments by D Ratcliffe (T&A letters, July 15) regarding sports clothing, on what should be adhered to when it comes to clothing colours, especially the code for wearing only white at the Championships at Wimbledon.
I would like to pass comment on other sports and their choice of clothing, especially cricket. Test cricket is still being played in white and it's also quite uplifting to see the different colours being shown by the counties in the T20 and 50 over versions of the game.
The Hundred version is upon from today so I am expecting to see all sorts of colours for that competition but please do not copy the garish creations that are too often portrayed at the Indian Premier League (IPL). Shocking.
