THORNTON were comfortably beaten in this weekend's Premier Division Halifax Cricket League fixtures, as second placed Booth eased to a 213 run victory.
Thornton won the toss and elected to field first, but were made to regret that decision, as Booth racked up an astonishing 349-5 total.
Hasnain Wajid (120) and Robert Laycock (101) both struck centuries, and Thornton could only reply with a miserable 136 all out.
Shelf Northowram Hedge Top did what Thornton couldn't, and that was win.
They travelled to Bradshaw and won by three wickets, after hitting a 129 run total.
In the First Division, Great Horton Park Chapel drew with Luddendenfoot away from home, and likewise Oxenhope against Mount at home.
Mount won the toss and struck a total of 199-9, while Oxenhope hit 200-4.
Lewis Hopkinson hit an impressive 103 runs.
Low Moor Holy Trinity won by 70 runs away at Upper Hopton, and Clayton were beaten by Sowerby St Peters, by a total of 56 runs.
And in the Second Division, Cullingworth and Queensbury didn't have a game.
