The prolonged hot spell has brought coarse fish to spawning mode.
Knotford Lagoon was closed for one week and the Tuesday match at Kippax Park was cancelled.
In the Sunday match at Moor Monkton Pools, catches were only moderate.
The winner was O. Hewitt with 39lb 13oz, while B. Hustwaite came second with 30lb 13oz.
There is no definite news on the pollution in the River Nidd, but by all accounts it is quite serious.
The membership office will be closed today (Friday, June 11) and on Monday, June 28.
LISTERHILLS A.A.
The draw for the open match on June 19 will be at 9am, full details next week.
At long last, the fish in the canal have started to respond, while in the River Aire, evening is the best time to try.
