YOUNG Bulls winger Reece Hamlett has joined their Championship rivals Swinton Lions on loan.

Hamlett joined up with John Kear's side in November 2020, on a one-year deal from Warrington.

He made a bright start, performing well in the friendlies with Keighley and Swinton and turning in a superb performance in the Challenge Cup defeat to Featherstone in March, scoring a brace of tries.

The powerful three-quarter also started in the opening day Championship thrashing at the hands of Sheffield but he has found game time hard to come by since.

With Bulls bringing in backs like Mitieli Vulikijapani and Ashton Golding over the last couple of weeks on loan, Hamlett may have slipped further down the pecking order too.

But the move to rock-bottom Championship side Swinton should give him the starts he is after.

Hamlett has already been named in the matchday squad for Swinton's trip to Batley tomorrow.
