THE Bulls are set to be boosted by the return of Sam Hallas.
The vice-captain is close to a return after being given the green light to up his training - and could be in line to play again for the Newcastle home game a week on Sunday.
Hallas has missed two months with the broken jaw he suffered in the 41-16 Challenge Cup loss at Featherstone in the first competitive game of the season.
He was due for a medical check tomorrow but the Bulls got him an earlier appointment on Monday – when he was given the all-clear to resume contact training.
Delighted coach John Kear said: “Sam is doing well and raring to go – and we’re raring to have him back as well.
“We feel it can be done pretty quickly because he’s in such good condition with his weights and his running.”
