BRADFORD Bulls have announced the two-week loan signings of Huddersfield Giants duo Ashton Golding and Olly Wilson.

Wilson, nicknamed The Polar Bear, came through the Bradford Academy set up and made his debut in 2018 before signing for the Super League side in 2019. He has made 20 appearances for the Giants to date.

Golding, a Jamaica international who can play full-back or wing, has spent most of his career in Super League with Leeds and Huddersfield but is no stranger to the Championship after reaching the Million Pound Game with Featherstone in 2019.

Both Golding and Wilson join up with John Kear’s squad with immediate effect.

Kear said: “I always remember Maurice Lindsay saying strengthen when you are strong because people want to join and that has certainly rung true – we have managed to get these two quality players and I would like to thank Ian Watson and Richard Thewlis for their co-operation.

“Olly will add massively to our pack and brings quality, Ash has over 100 games behind him and is versatile, so they are two great additions we will have a look at as soon as possible.

“The standard of Sunday’s performance was excellent so it will be difficult for anyone to miss out but if they do it will be for a breather so they are fresh heading into a difficult period of fixtures against some top quality opposition.

“We have had a lot of good news in the last few days with the return to Odsal and these two men joining us and there is a feel good factor around the place, long may it continue.”

The duo could make their debuts in Sunday’s homecoming clash with York City Knights, which has a limited number of tickets remaining.
