IT has been a big afternoon for three of our clubs, as they have moved leagues for the upcoming 2021/22 season.

Liversedge and Ilkley Town were the big winners, while Campion have taken a sideways step.

The Red and Blacks just missed out on promotion from Division One of the Northern Counties East League (Step 6) on points per game, but instead of staying where they were, they have moved sideways into the North West Counties League First Division North, where Steeton reside.

But Sedge, after two years of excellent results, have finally jumped up, as they go from the NCEL Premier Division (Step 5) to the Northern Premier League East Division (Step 4) where they will join Brighouse Town.

Ilkley, who had been playing in the grassroots West Yorkshire League Premier Division (Step 7), have invested a lot of money, time and effort to try and gain promotion.

And with everything in place, they have finally been granted their move into the NWCFL First Division North, where they will mix it with Campion and Steeton.
