BRADFORD Bulls Women came so close to breaking their Super League duck this season, but a stirring comeback by Huddersfield saw them win 28-20 at Warrington's Victoria Park stadium.

The Giants opened the scoring through a converted try from winger Amelia Brown, but Bulls got back into it, as Stacey Greenwood flew over under the posts.

Sarah Dunn added the extras to level things up, before scoring a try of her own to make it 10-6 to Bradford.

A break from the Giants saw Izzy Northrop's converted try put them back in front, but Grace Ramsden collected a ball over the top to score and give Bulls a 14-12 lead at the break

When Dunn powered over for a converted score five minutes into the second half, Bulls led by eight, but then things started to go wrong.

Tries from Annie Loney and Erin Stott drew Huddersfield level with 17 minutes left, before Brown grabbed her second to edge her side in front.

Greenwood was forced off with injury with 10 minutes left, and then Bulls were finished off once and for all when Regan Walker crashed over in the final seconds.

It was a disappointing end to the game for Bradford, but a glorious one for Huddersfield, with the win their first-ever in the Women's Super League.
