RISING star Harry Ibbotson is the first-ever player to make the transition from Bradford City's Development

Programme to their academy.

Breaking the mould is never easy, but 15 year-old Ibbotson has done that and representatives hope it's the first of many transitions.

Speaking through City's socials, Neil Matthews, Academy Manager said: "Obviously we are delighted for Harry.

"It's a great opportunity for him and he's grasped it with both hands after impressing on trial.

"We've been impressed sufficiently to offer him a contract here at the academy.

"It's great for the link we have with the football development programme, so hopefully it will be the first of many."

Adam Fox, Head of the Football Development Programme also spoke to City's socials regarding the move.

Fox said: "It's fantastic for Harry. He has shown real promise since he has come into the FDP.

"He's worked really hard, showed great attitude and he has been rewarded for his hard work."
