THEY are arguably two of the best tries seen this season in British rugby league, so it was always going to be a tight vote in Bulls' April Try of the Month competition.
But in the end, it was Brandon Pickersgill’s sensational solo effort from inside his own 20-metre area in the 27-26 derby win over Halifax that scooped the top prize.
That picked up 46 per cent of the vote, and therefore pipped Joe Brown’s electric effort (39 per cent) in the 35-14 victory over Dewsbury, which saw he and David Foggin-Johnston combine for a length of the field score.
Brown's consolation try in the 50-12 humiliation at Sheffield got nine per cent of the vote, while Danny Brough's neat sidestep and score against the Rams only picked up six per cent.
