BRADFORD Bulls and Keighley Cougars will be supporting the sporting social media boycott this weekend.

Bulls can confirmed they will join the Rugby Football League, Super League Europe, Rugby League World Cup 2021 and the Rugby League Players’ Association in supporting the boycott of Social Media this weekend.

They will still be providing text commentary of their game at Whitehaven on their club website though.

They said: "The sport’s governing body and its leading clubs and players will withdraw from key platforms from 3pm on Friday until 1159pm on Monday, to show solidarity with other sports, and amplify the message that nobody should have to suffer abuse, racism or harassment on social media."

Cougars are also set to join Bulls in the boycott. They said: "Keighley Cougars will be supporting the sporting social media boycott this weekend from 3pm tomorrow, until midnight on Sunday rather than Monday."

Cougars will still be paying its annual tribute to Danny Jones on Monday, the sixth anniversary of his passing.
