DUE to the addition of Nostell Miners Welfare FC, the Yorkshire Trophy format will be revamped once more.

There will be two groups, group A and B, where everyone will play each other once, proceeding to a semi- final and final.

The competitions format, which has chopped and changed, will see the top two sides from both groups, face off against each other in the semi-finals.

Originally, 12 teams were set to battle it out for the trophy, however because of financial reasons, Silsden, Steeton and Campion all pulled out, leading to the first revamp.

With sides pulling out, the first revamp resulted in a five-game tournament format, with sides playing each other once in a singular group, cultivating in the top two sides facing off in a final.

The latest announcement has signalled the latest plans for the tournament, with the arrival of the Nostell Miners.

Games are set to finally kick-off on the May 17, as Brighouse Town host Penistone Church FC. They will welcome back 675 spectators for the first time since restrictions eased.
