BRIGHOUSE Town have announced the signing of Elliot Harrison after his departure from local rivals Ossett United.
In an interview with the club, Harrison said: “I am excited to be playing football again and can’t wait to be playing alongside my new teammates.”
As well as this, Harrison hopes to finish near the top of the Northern Premier League North West Division table next season, saying: “Brighouse have a lot of ambitions and that excites me as a player.”
Harrison is a versatile midfielder player who has the ability to drop back to help his team defend.
But he is also capable of creating chances to score and his running with the ball will help Brighouse in tight matches and make it difficult for defenders to deal with him.
The club have been announcing player retentions all week on Twitter, ahead of a social media blackout from 3pm tomorrow, like many sports teams up and down the country, in response to the ongoing and sustained discriminatory abuse received online.
The blackout will end at 11:59pm on Monday.
