KEIGHLEY Cougars star Jack Miller has seen his £25 rescinded after a Shot Clock process incident during Saturday’s Challenge Cup tie against London Broncos.
After an initial fine Miller has this morning seen his £25 fine rescinded and has instead been issued a warning for his breach of Shot Clock process. Jack has also been reminded by the governing body that any future breaches will result in a fine.
The rule was brought into rugby league in 2019 is part of the process to reduce the number and length of stoppages in matches.
Cougars produced a valiant display and were unlucky to be beaten by the former Super-League side, 24-10.
In a first half of controversy, referee Robert Hicks had no choice but to send three players to the sinbin, including London’s Robert Matomosi.
However, Matamosi has avoided suspension despite a charge of Grade A Dangerous Contact following his sin-bin incident in the 36th minute.
Cougars have also confirmed through their Twitter feed that they returned a total of zero positive Covid tests. 40 players, coaches and staff were routinely tested ahead of training on Tuesday evening.
