THE Bradford Premier League season is due to get underway in less than a month's time, and things are starting to take shape.

The league season is set to start on Saturday, April 17, while several of the Bradford League's teams will be in action the following day in the Heavy Woollen Cup.

As for the league's own cup competitions, the big two, the Priestley Cup and the Jack Hampshire Cup, are due to get underway on the same day, Sunday, May 2.

The Priestley Shield, for second teams, will begin three weeks later on Sunday, May 23.

The T20 Cup will see its first match a few days later, on Tuesday, May 25.

The finals day for that one is due to be on Sunday, July 25, while the Jack Hampshire Cup is pencilled in to finish on Sunday, August 15.

The Priestley Cup final is to get underway at 12pm on Sunday, August 29, while the Priestley Shield final will not be played until Sunday, September 5.

In scheduling the Bradford Premier League cup dates, an effort has been made to steer away from the planned Heavy Woollen Cup Dates.
