CITY scored plenty of goals in February, and had to whittle all nine down to a top four.

Those goals helped the Bantams see off Morecambe, Cheltenham, Leyton Orient and Walsall, with only a defeat to Exeter to blot the copybook.

January signing Charles Vernam scored in that loss, but it is his goal at home to Morecambe which makes the cut in the Goal of the Month vote.

Whether he meant to shoot is up for debate, but his wicked inswinger from outside the box deceived everyone and flew into the bottom corner.

Fellow new boy Andy Cook has been in excellent form when given the chance to start, and a superb driving run from him against Cheltenham led to the second goal on the list.

The ball was flicked over the top to the striker, who neatly took it past the centre-half, before rounding the goalkeeper and finishing from a tight angle.

And both goals in the superb 2-1 win at Walsall make the cut.

The first saw Levi Sutton pick up on a loose ball after Ollie Crankshaw was felled and thunder one home off the underside of the crossbar from 25 yards out.

Cook rounds off the list, with the Saddlers making a big mistake leaving the prolific striker all alone in the box.

He took a cross down beautifully on his chest, before firing the ball home with his left foot.

City have of course already added to their tally since February, with Danny Rowe netting the winner against Mansfield on Tuesday.

With six more games scheduled for March, it could be some task picking the next Goal of the Month nominees.
