JUST a year ago, Aaron Martin was playing for Guiseley in the National League North.
But Harrogate, then in the league above, snapped him up last March, and he helped them secure promotion to League Two.
The new boys have made a decent fist of their first-ever Football League season, and currently sit 15th after 27 games.
And Martin has been a big reason for that.
The 29-year-old has not been fazed by the step up, and his efforts have culminated in him winning Football League World's Player of the Month for January, where he picked up 33 per cent of the vote.

The bare statistics are not the most impressive, with his only goal the winner against Newport a fortnight ago.
But he grabbed an assist too and impressed with his all-round play, helping the North Yorkshire side to five points from five games.
And it seems Martin's good form has continued into February, with the striker netting the opener in a 3-1 win at Crawley last weekend.
