THE Brighouse Town Education and Football Academy are encouraging more youngsters to get involved and sign up.

They are on the lookout for new students to join the Education and Semi-Professional Football Academy (ESPFA) programme at the club from September 2021 (current Year 11's) and September 2022 (current Year 10's).

There is an online information evening about the programme this coming Tuesday (February 2) at 6pm.

You can apply by following this link: https://www.espfa.co.uk/register

The ESPFA is a unique study programme for 16-18 year olds, combining football with further education at semi-professional football clubs.

Brig are one of 15 teams across the country you can currently apply for. They play in the ESPFA Northern Division.

One of their star players at the moment is James Tetley. The midfielder won the division's Player of the Term award earlier this month and scored against Mossley on December 17, Brig's last game before the season was suspended due to the new national lockdown.

Hopefully, lockdowns will be just a distant memory when the new cohorts get to begin their Brighouse and ESPFA journey.
