LEE Novak returned from injury to score three times for City in December.

And one of those goals will live long in the memory.

Novak produced a stunning overhead kick to open the scoring at Grimsby in a League Two encounter on December 22.

That strike helped City to a vital 2-1 win, pulling the Bantams further clear of relegation trouble.

And having won City's own Goal of the Month competition already, Novak could be about to do even better.

That is because the veteran striker is now up for the official Sky Bet League Two Goal of the Month award.

He is up against two worthy contenders though.

One is Scott Twine's long-range thunderbolt for Newport against Oldham and the other is Callum Harriott's 30-yard curling effort for Colchester in their game with Crawley.
