CONOR Sellars has revealed City’s admiration for winger target Jordan Stevens.

The Leeds wide man is being strongly tipped to make a loan move to Valley Parade after a spell at Swindon.

Joint-interim boss Sellars said: “Jordan is somebody that we are aware of.

“Obviously, he’s been at Leeds for a few years now and we’ve watched him in their (under) 23s and at Swindon as well. He’s definitely a player that we rate.”

City plan to have a back-up keeper signed in time to be on the bench for the Scunthorpe game – their first action of the transfer window.

Sellars added: “We’re pleased with how things are going so far.

“It’s not as straightforward as everybody thinks but we’re in advanced talks with some players and hoping to get them through the door.”

City also plan to talk with Wolves about loan striker Austin Samuels, who has made six league starts. His chances have been limited since Lee Novak's return from injury.

“We're monitoring Austin,  we'll see how he does and go from there,” said Sellars.

“We've got a good relationship with Wolves and we've got to make sure what happens next is right for us and Wolves as well.

“Like any club, people come in, people come out and we're no different. We'll see what happens."
