CAMPION will miss out on the chance to return to the summit in Division One of the Northern Counties East League tonight, after their mouthwatering clash with leaders Emley was called off.

The Red and Blacks were leading the way, but lost two games in a row just ahead of the national lockdown in early November, seeing their advantage cut to one point.

And they were not in action last weekend, allowing Emley to move ahead of them, after they won 4-1 at Nostell Miners Welfare.

But Campion would have gone back to the top with an away win tonight, but with snow falling overnight in West Yorkshire, the pitch has been deemed unplayable.

Campion are next due in action this Saturday, away to mid-table Hall Road Rangers.
