BRADFORD (Park Avenue) defender Mitch Lund will be out for around four months after he sustained multiple fractures around his cheek and eye socket in his side's 2-1 defeat to AFC Telford United at the weekend.
Lund, who has been an ever-present this season playing every minute of all nine matches, received treatment in the 88th minute when he clashed with a Telford player in the air.
Avenue physio Tally Clayton was forced to bring the centre half off the pitch meaning he was unable to see out his 40th appearance for the club.
Post-match Lund attended hospital to have an x-ray and uncover the extent of the damage.
He went for maxillofacial surgery at the Bradford Royal Infirmary yesterday and after a successful operation the former Doncaster Rovers player was discharged later that evening.
