YORKSHIRE and England batsman Jonny Bairstow will be joining his teammate Dawid Malan in the Big Bash League out in Australia this winter.
Malan was officially announced as a Hobart Hurricanes player last month, while Bairstow will be turning out for Melbourne Stars.
Bairstow will not be available for the start of the tournament, which gets underway on December 10, as he will be in South Africa for England's white-ball series against the Proteas.
But he is due to join up with his Melbourne teammates after Christmas, and he should be available from then until the tournament's conclusion on February 6.
