BRADFORD Bulls skipper Steve Crossley is 'gutted' and 'disgusted' with how long the Toronto Wolfpack situation has dragged on after it was finally comfirmed they would not be taking part in Betfred Super League in 2021.
Toronto withdrew from their maiden season in the top flight back in July, due to financial problems caused by the Coronavirus pandemic, but hoped re-entry would be possible under new ownership.
However, yesterday it was announced that the Canadian-based club had failed in their resubmission bid for next year's competition.
It is understood a vote of 8-4 against the Wolfpack was generated at a board meeting between the RFL, Super League and its 11 current member clubs.
Crossley, who was one of Toronto's main men in their inaugural League One-winning campaign in 2017, is sad to see what has happened to his former team.

The Wolfpack will now take some time to consider their position and consult further with their current ownership, led by David Argyle.
Super League must now decide whether to run with 11 clubs next year or find a 12th member.
