CITY will tread carefully with Bryce Hosannah during their full-on fixture schedule.
The Leeds loanee delivered a stand-out display at Bolton last night on his return from a toe injury.
Hosannah missed the dispiriting defeat to Newport after being forced off at half-time against Walsall last week.
But he returned to the fray with a high-energy performance at right wing-back in the 1-0 loss to Ian Evatt’s side.
Hosannah, who had two of City’s best chances to equalise, caught McCall’s eye on his fourth start for the club.
But the Bantams boss is wary of not over-doing it with the young defender with the busy run of games.
McCall said: “Bryce only actually joined in training on Monday because he’s had the toe problem. I thought he really performed well.
“He showed that he was a big attacking threat for us down the right-hand side, other than putting the ball in the back of the net which his performance merited.
“We’ve got to be careful with him because he was flat out back and forth. We need to look at his data.
“We can’t over-push him or anyone because of what’s been happening with playing games Saturday and Tuesday every week.
“But he’s started really brightly for us, that’s for sure.”
