THE wait goes on for Steeton's first game at Marley, after boss Roy Mason confirmed that this weekend's scheduled clash there against St Helens Town has been postponed.
Steeton have had to play their opening five North West Counties League First Division North games away from home, while their FA Vase tie at home to Jarrow had to be played at Barnoldswick's Silentnight Stadium.
They were due to play at home to Cleator Moor Celtic on October 17, but that was switched due to a delay in the works at Marley, while their scheduled game at home to Darwen tonight has been rearranged for November 17.
The reason the St Helens game this weekend has been postponed, rather than switched to Merseyside, is because St Helens groundshare with Pilkington, so this was not an option.
A date for the rearranged game has yet to be confirmed.
Meanwhile, Steeton's first game at Marley is now due to be against Garstang on November 14.
