ECCLESHILL United's youngsters produced an extraordinary comeback in the FA Youth Cup Third Qualifying Round last night to win 5-3 at Gateshead.

The Bradford side were 3-0 down at the break, thanks to goals from Nelson Ogbewe, Ethan Chatt and Eddie Thomas.

And when Lewis Leveny hit the crossbar early in the second half for the North-East side, Eccleshill must have been thinking about damage limitation.

But when Bubba Jaiteh slammed one into the top left corner for the Eagles after 56 minutes, the comeback was well and truly on.

Bojang Mode slammed home another soon after to make it 3-2, before David Bayoh took the ball round Gateshead keeper Tom Thebe to equalise with 20 minutes left.

Mode's free-kick slipped under Thebe's grasp to put Eccleshill in front on 76 minutes, before Bayoh completed the stunning turnaround with a back-post header just before the end.

They will host Altrincham or South Shields in the next round. That game is due to take place tonight.
