THERE has been plenty of transfer activity at Bradford District clubs over the last week, with Brighouse Town making some particularly eye-catching moves.

Having loaned in young Manchester United goalkeeper Jacob Carney last Friday, they also announced two new signings on Tuesday.

First, they brought in talented young midfielder Will Shepherd on loan from Salford City for a month.

But they have also signed someone with bags of experience, in Danny Racchi from Grantham Town.

Racchi spent time playing in the Football League with Huddersfield Town and Bury over a decade ago, and even spent two seasons at Scottish Premier League side Kilmarnock.

Liversedge have been the busiest of the Northern Counties East League sides over the last few days.

They have sold defender Alexander Laird to Eccleshill United, while Alex Lill has been loaned out to Swallownest.

But they have added to the squad too, with an impressive signing up front. Ashley Flynn, who had already hit six league goals this season, has come in from fellow Premier Division side Yorkshire Amateur.

Amateur look like being one of Sedge’s main title rivals, so that signing is a real coup for Jonathan Rimmington’s men.

Flynn adds to an already fearsome forward line down at Clayborn, which includes Joe Gaughan, Joe Walton, Paul Walker, Oliver Fearon, Nicky Boshell and Mark Simpson.

There has been one more transfer of note over the last few days.

Striker Ray Sibanda has left Thackley and has joined Albion Sports.
