STUART McCall had no complaints after Harrogate inflicted a first league loss on City at Valley Parade.
Lloyd Kerry’s second-half strike took the points in front of the Sky TV cameras.
McCall admitted: “They were better than us – we were beaten by a good side.
“We had too many under-performers but we still had opportunities. It was a bad night in a lot of areas and some of our decision-making was poor.
“We started slowly and they won a lot more second balls.
“We went with a midfield diamond to try and control the game but it never really materialised. Harrogate worked ever so hard to stop us playing.
“It was a disappointing result and performance. But take nothing away from Harrogate, I thought they were very good.
“They are a well-oiled unit who know what they are doing and do it well. There’s no doubt they deserved to win.”
