THACKLEY have confirmed that talented striker Jack Normanton has left to test himself at a higher level, having joined Ossett United.
The Dennyboys put out this amicable tweet:
DEPARTURE | thank you to Jack Normanton, who sadly departs us to move up the leagues to Ossett United. Jack goes with our best wishes. Thank you also to Ossett United for the professional manner in concluding this transfer. #GoodLuckJack pic.twitter.com/ofN85aE8Gu

Normanton responded with an emotional tribute:
It’s been a privilege to be apart of a club that is growing not only on the pitch but off it. The work put in by everyone from the chairman to the volunteers is incredible. This club will always be special to me #UpTheDennyboys ⚽️❤️🤍 https://t.co/aMFZZiVjIl

Chairman Ben Oliver was also sad to see the club's star frontman leave:
Good luck, Jack. Been a pleasure having you at @ThackleyAFC and I’m sure you’ll smash it at Ossett United. Top player and top man 👌🏻👍🏻 hopefully see you down at a few matches if you’re able to when you don’t have a game! https://t.co/zYFI41kZNf

That off-pitch work that Normanton mentioned can be seen in Thackley’s latest initiative.
They have joined forces with UK charity shopping fundraising site, Easyfundraising, to give the fans a chance to offer their support to the club in these uncertain times.
Customers are able to shop online at some of the leading retailers, like Amazon, Sainsbury’s and Argos, and in doing so, a small donation will be made to a cause of their choice, in this case, to Thackley.
So far, 19 fans have supported the cause, with a total of £101.42 being raised for the Bradford side.
