CITY'S game at Grimsby is off.
The club have confirmed that the trip to Blundell Park scheduled for next weekend has been postponed.
The decision has been made following talks between Grimsby and the EFL after the Mariners returned a positive COVID-19 test last week.
An EFL statement said: "Due to members of Grimsby Town’s playing squad and staff self-isolating in line with EFL and government guidance, the club have today formally notified the EFL they are unable to fulfil the fixture.
“As per last weekend’s game against Cheltenham Town, which was also suspended, the circumstances surrounding the postponement will be the subject of an investigation in accordance with EFL regulations.”
Details on when the game will now take place will be announced in due course.
