JAYNE Saunders kicked off her month in style, claiming back-to-back victories on the return of the West Bradford Ladies golf tournaments.

After two weeks of absence due to poor weather, conditions were deemed suitable enough for the September 1 stableford event to go ahead.

Saunders claimed victory in that one, edging out second placed Jenny Chapman by four points in Division One with a 33 total.

Division Two saw Linda Lukic secure an impressive 36 points, comfortably beating her nearest rival Sandra-Vine Jenkins by 10 points.

Fast forward a week to September 8, and Saunders displayed her quality once more, finishing at the summit of the table in the 4BBB doubles event. Saunders and partner D Dack finished in joint first on 32 points along with two other pairs.

M Kunz and C Craven finished on 29 points, as did H Shields and J Chapman. Those two pairs finished fourth and fifth respectively.

Finally, congratulations were in order for Lady Captain Jackie Mungovin on September 15 in the Individual Medal event, for pulling her handicap.

She played a wonderful round of golf, going out in 55 and back in 50, resulting in a nett 69 and a score of three under par.

Her score included two threes on the ninth and 15th and a six on the 17th. The CSS was also 72 and she pulled 1.5 shots to 34.

Mungovin finished comfortably ahead of Division Two rival Helgi Sonsara, who came second with a gross 120 and a nett 84.

Pam Sprint and Pam Sutcliffe had a good battle in Division One, but it was the former who came out on top.

She achieved a gross 86 and a nett 73, while Sutcliffe had a gross 99 and a nett 77.
