BRIGHOUSE Town are set to play host to a charity football match in remembrance of two Yorkshire Ambulance Service colleagues, Mark Stanley and Dave Oates, who sadly passed away in April 2020.
The game will feature a team of Brighouse and Halifax NHS staff against a team of Bradford NHS staff and money raised will be donated to The Royal British Legion for Mark Stanley and Scotty’s Little Soldiers for Dave Oates.
The game is taking place at The Yorkshire Payments Stadium on Friday, September 25, with a 7pm kick-off.
As it stands, Brighouse will be allowed to host up to 400 spectators, with the bar being in operation. All Covid-19 guidelines will be in place, which means spectators may only stand/sit within a group of six.
The game is going to become an annual event and be known as The Stanley Oates Cup, and the club are encouraging people to come down on Friday to show their support.
There will be a £5 entry fee at the gate.
