Trout were the main species caught in Sunday's match at Myrtle Park, with Ian Needs having a fish of 4lb.

It was Needs who came first, with an overall weight of 5lb 15oz. C. Dine finished second with 2lb 15oz, while A. Newman was just behind in third with 2lb 13oz.

The match on the Kirkstall Power Station length of the canal was won by B. Mason with the low weight of 2lb 1oz.

R. Thorne finished second with 1lb 6oz, while E. Harrison came third with 15oz. J. Mason was fourth and B. Lowthian fifth.

From tomorrow, all subscriptions will be reduced to half-price for the rest of the year.

The result of the charity match saw A. Parr win with 10lb 6oz. S. Barron was second with 5lb 12oz.

In the Aire Festival match, fished midweek, P. Austin won with 19lb 6oz.

He also won the overall aggregate with 18 points. This was after tying on 18 points with D. Miles. Weight settled it.

The lock on the Polo Pond has had to be replaced after being stolen. Anyone caught tampering with locks will be expelled from the club.
