Former Bradford City winger Mark Ellis goes into tomorrow's game still in caretaker charge of first-team affairs but still none the wiser as to the situation at the club following Terry Dolan's exit.

"I don't know what is going to happen regarding the manager's job. I am not being evasive - it is just that I honestly haven't a clue what will develop," said Ellis.

"It is a case of taking each day as it comes. I said to the owners that I am involved in football all day every day and it is no extra workload for me to carry on doing what I am doing."

Chairman Phil Rogerson confirmed the status quo will be on-going - for a while at least.

"The board are meeting early next week to discuss where we go from here," said Rogerson.

"Mark has stated that he enjoys working for the club and we wouldn't want to lose him - he is a great coach.

"There has been no policy decided yet - it (the manager's job) remains open to all applicants.

"We have not advertised the position but we have already had some interest shown in it by outside parties - not a huge response as yet, a couple of phone calls and two or three e-mails.

"People in the game keep their eye on situations like this, even if there isn't a position on offer.

"Football is that kind of industry. Experienced men are circulating and monitoring and who knows what might come along before we have our meeting?"
