GOALS were aplenty this weekend as the 2020/21 Bradford Sunday Alliance season started with a bang.

Westwood Park claimed victory in a nine-goal Premier Division thriller at home to Bolton Woods.

Andy Howland scored a hat-trick as Wrose Bull drew 5-5 with Wibsey. A Michael Garnett strike separated Crossflatts Village and Sandy Lane.

Connor Bower was at the double in Station Hotel's 2-1 win over Olympic, while Oakenshaw put Tyersal to the sword 3-1.

In the Championship, Bankfoot smashed 10-man Keighley 8-0, and a Dean Phiri double ensured three points for Low Moor as they beat Peacock Bar 3-1. Throstle Nest United did well to stun FC Dog & Gun 4-1.

Josef Lytwyn bagged four in Heaton's 4-4 draw with AFC Titans, and Prospect edged FC Queensbury 5-2.

Thornbury Celtic eased to a 4-0 victory over East Bierley Village.

In Division 1, an impressive five star performance sent Clayton Albion to the top of the table. The 5-0 victory meant their opponents, Rattlers, sank to ninth.

An exciting match unfolded between Mill Lane and Newline as the sides played out a 4-4 draw. Brendan Maltby, David Bayoh and Danyal Mughal all struck for Lane.

Meanwhile, RISlondon hammered Prospect reserves 8-1, and Jordan Missin and Matty Rowntree were on the scoresheet for Parry Lane in their 2-2 draw with Thornton United.

Swaine Green swept aside Esholt in a 7-1 thrashing to kickstart their Division Two campaign. Wibsey's Daniel Pattison and Liam Wilkins scored pivotal goals in a tense 2-1 victory over Clayton Athletic.

Elsewhere, Lincoln Barbers started the season in style, claiming a 6-1 walkover win against AFC Undercliffe. Beldon Oddies reserves lost out 3-2 to Bolton Woods Socials.

Leaventhorpe Rangers overcame Buttershaw St. Paul's 4-1, and Thackley Athletic beat Eccleshill Lane Ends 5-2.

In Division Three, Gomersal and Cleckheaton laid down a marker with a rampant 9-1 win over Bierley Bantams.

Shipley Allstars stuffed Idle United 8-0. Northern eased to a 2-0 win against Hanson Old Boys.

Low Moor reserves crushed St Bedes 3-0, and Whitburn Athletic lost out 1-0 to Great Horton.
