ECCLESHILL United will be aiming to avenge their mid-week FA Cup defeat today when they attempt to cause a seismic shock by beating Northern Premier League Premier Division side Scarborough Athletic.

Lee Elam's men suffered a damming 3-0 defeat at the hands of local rivals Silsden in the extra preliminary round of the competition on Tuesday.

So, United will be keen to impress in this friendly (1:00pm) against a team who will be heavy favourites.

Although, Scarborough have had a difficult pre-season. Early wins at Garforth Town and Yorkshire Amateur were marred by three defeats on the bounce against Marske United, Farsley Celtic and Brighouse Town.

The latter are also in action today (3:00pm) as 400 fans will be able to witness their home game with Handsworth.

Campion get a chance to recover from their FA Cup defeat when they travel to Pontefract Colliers (3:00pm).

While, Craven-based sides Silsden and Steeton face off (3:00) in what should be an intriguing encounter at the Keighley Road Stadium.
