BRADFORD Bulls have confirmed talented half-back Rowan Milnes has returned to parent club Hull KR.

Milnes broke through Bulls' academy system in the club's League One promotion season in 2018, making his debut against London Skolars.

However, it was a year later where he really came into his own, impressing towards the latter end of the Championship campaign and run to the Challenge Cup quarter finals.

Tries against the likes of Halifax and Toronto Wolfpack as well as a dominate kicking performance over great rivals Leeds Rhinos alerted Super League clubs.

In the off-season, it was Hull KR who snapped the 21-year-old up along with a crop of other Bradford players including Ethan Ryan and Elliot Minchella.

Milnes was back at his hometown club on loan for the 2020 season, but he was only able to feature six times due to the pandemic cancelling the season.

The club issued this statement: "We can confirm on-loan half-back Rowan Milnes has been recalled by his parent club, Hull Kingston Rovers.

"The 21-year-old signed for the Super League outfit at the end of the 2019 season as part of a deal that saw him return to the Bulls for the 2020 campaign.

"Prior to the season's curtailment, Milnes had featured in all six first team fixtures, scoring two tries and kicking 18 goals.

"The club would like to thank Rowan for his efforts in the red, amber and black and wish him the best of luck in the future."
