WAYNE Benn came back to haunt his former club as a late goal from his Ossett United side denied Bradford (Park Avenue) in their second game of pre-season.

A limited 200 supporters were in attendance at Ingfield to witness Ossett's 2-1 comeback win.

Mark Bower's men started brightly and took the lead on the 18th minute. A trialist latched onto Luke Blackburn's poor pass and fired a delicious strike into the top corner from outside the box.

Soon after, Bradford were in again thanks to a superb cross by Nicky Clee to find Brad Dockerty. The young winger's finish flying narrowly over the bar.

The hosts levelled matters before the break though. Elliott Harrison controlled from a failed cleared corner and produced a fine effort.

With changes aplenty at the break, United looked the more likely to take the lead, Cameron Clark and Jack Cowgill coming close.

The latter would get the winner five minutes from the end. The tall defender rising above everyone to net from a corner.

Park Avenue announced after the match that they will next be in action at Dennyfield on Saturday (3pm) as they take on Northern Counties East League Premier Division side Thackley.
