BRADFORD (Park Avenue) have revealed the first team they will play on their new 3G Horsfall pitch. Huddersfield Town under-19s will be Avenue's opening opponents for pre-season.

With Bradford's campaign set to kick off on October 3 in the FA Cup second qualifying round, Mark Bower's side have been training since July 28.

The boss will be aiming to use the friendly, which will take place behind closed doors on Saturday 22nd August (1pm), to watch his new squad and trialists adapt to their new surroundings.

Avenue's director of football Martin Knight has talked in the past about getting a big name down to open the updated stadium, but the local lockdown threw that up in the air.

Although, there is hope that higher league opposition will grace Horsfall at some stage this pre-season.

As for their 2020/21 National League North campaign, it has been reported that club's fixtures will be released on September 8 with the final date of the season being May 29.
