Guiseley are set to play their first game of the 2020/21 campaign in the FA Cup at the start of October.

It is understood that the National League have informed clubs that they plan, subject to FA approval, to begin the season in the FA Cup second qualifying round on Saturday, October 3.

The league says it is likely that crowd numbers will be significant reduced due to the social distanced capacity of grounds.

The final games of the campaign will be played on Saturday, May 12 with the playoffs in June.

It has also been reported that 12 National League clubs are proposing a salary cap, with the projected annual limits of £900,000 for the National League and £600,000 for the National League North/South.

The working group hope the limit will be introduced via a vote at the league AGM in August.
