Guiseley have been praying for home advantage in any knockout competition all season and they were finally granted their wish for Saturday's FA Trophy third qualifying-round tie.

However, if they could have chosen their opponents they would probably have steered away from Worcester City, who play their football a division higher in the Blue Square North.

Terry Dolan's men will welcome the opportunity to take on one of the sides they are aiming to compete against on a weekly basis, if they achieve their aim of promotion, and the supporters could play their part.

Guiseley go into the game with mixed form behind them. They have slipped to fourth in the UniBond Premier Division after two straight defeats but beat Hednesford Town in the previous FA Trophy round and eased past Bridlington Town in the League Cup.

Their last outing was the 3-0 defeat to Worksop Town last Saturday, which was also at Nethermoor, and the players will be keen to get their loyal supporters back onside with a stirring win in the Trophy.

Dolan will have big decisions to make as, although there are no new injury concerns, the manager has been rotating his squad and could elect to introduce one or two of the players waiting in the wings.

They were given a chance in the Bridlington game and earned plaudits following the 4-1 win, so Dolan may freshen up the side by including the likes of Dean Walters and Paul Rickers.
