BRADFORD NO1 A.A.

With a good number of anglers on the banks across our waters, we've seen some great fish being caught in recent weeks.

The committee match at Queen Mary's Ponds in Ripon was won by Matt Foster, with three tench for a total of 18lb 5oz, with the biggest fish weighing 7lb 2oz.

There have also been some nice bream and carp being caught from the lakes.

At Knotford we have another new lake record, with David Barlow catching a 42lb 8oz carp as part of a 17 fish haul from a session at the lake.

There have been many 20lb+ fish being caught, making for an impressive average stamp of fish, with similar reports coming in from Kirklees Lagoon.

Both ponds at Shelf Dam have been producing good catches of bream, chub and ide on float and maggot.

Raskelf Lake will be closed this Sunday for the veterans match, which will be drawing at the lake at around 9:15am. To book a place, please contact Simon on 01274 571175.

The coarse season on rivers opens on Tuesday, June 16, meaning that all waters will be reopened to members, with no bait bans in place.

CLAYTON AC

The result of the Fleece Trophy match at Viking (23 anglers fished): 1. Bryan Ashton 110-05, 2. Kevin Murgatroyd 105-05, 3. Jack Hawkins 96-00.

The section winners were Steve Charge, Jason Craig, Steve Fairbrother and Kevin Armitage.

The team winners were Jack Hawkins, Kevin Murgatroyd and Ricky Malone.

The biggest fish caught was by Bryan Ashton, with a 13lb common carp.

The next match is on Sunday, June 21 at Brafferton, Ghost Lake. Any member not fishing must notify the match secretary seven days before the match.

BINGLEY ANGLING CLUB

Wray Wood will reopen to anglers when the coarse fishing season starts on Tuesday, June 16.

Coppice Pond will be closed to anglers on the morning of Sunday, June 28 for a limited members match.

CENTRAL AC

The result of our first match of the season at Forest Lane, Oakland Lake on Sunday, June 7 was: 1. M. Davey 101lb 6oz, 2. R. Creek 52lb 10oz, 3. R. Wharfe 50lb 8oz, 4. J. Wharfe 42lb 2oz.

Our next match is at The Oaks, Cedar Lake, on Sunday, June 21. Meet at the venue at 8am, with fishing from 9am-3pm.

LEEDS & DISTRICT A.S.A.

Club matches at Moor Monkton Pools and Kippax Park have now resumed. Both of these waters have fished well for carp.

At Knotford Lagoon, members after larger carp have had fish to 33lb.

Watchers have been abused (at Knotford) by members who have flouted the social distance. This must stop immediately.

Please note, at this venue, that only members with membership books are allowed on site.

LISTERHILLS A.A.

The matches resume with a series of evening matches on the canal at Armley. The first match will be on Wednesday (June 17), with a running draw from 5pm to 5:15pm. Social distancing will be strictly adhered to.
