A NUMBER of fighters from a Bradford gym have won medals at national and regional levels.

Rourkey's Gym, based in West Bowling, took home a winning medal at the National Youth Championship Finals and two at the junior Yorkshire finals.

Patrick Coleman, 16, fought his way to a unanimous points decision to win his third national championship at 46kg at Newcastle's Birtley Boxing Gym.

The club also had Quie Coleman (40kg) and Bailey Pedder (46kg) becoming junior Yorkshire junior champions in Leeds.

Head coach Kevin Rourke was delighted for his young fighters and credits everyone for their hard work at his gym.

He said: "I'm so proud of the team and how well we are doing. We had a really good season last year and set the bar high so we are looking to better that in the future.

"Many thanks must go to coaches Matt Nelson, Arthur Rourke, Robert Smith and Stefan Thomas."
