THE EFL have announced a £50 million short-term relief package to help clubs hit by loss of earnings.
A meeting of the EFL Board today also stressed their primary aim is to finish the season, which has been suspended because of the coronavirus pandemic.
The football authority said it was in the best interests of the clubs to complete the current campaign at the appropriate time.
The EFL’s financial aid is designed to ease cash-flow worries from the lack of any match-day income.
