STEETON'S crucial home game with Daisy Hill has been called off this evening, and they are not happy with their landlords about it.
The Chevrons' 3-2 win at Golcar United last Friday lifted them off the bottom of the North West Counties League First Division North and left them just a point off safety.
They were hoping to build on that tonight, but Cougar Park is not fit for action, with Steeton believing that their landlords, Keighley Cougars could have helped avoid that situation.
Cougars trained on the pitch last night, as they try and get the practice in to bounce back from defeats in their opening two Betfred League One games against Workington Town and Rochdale Hornets.
But Steeton, on their official Twitter account, said they felt Cougars' session should not have gone ahead, after their ground staff had been working hard to specifically prepare the surface for tonight’s game.
Steeton are now scheduled to play next at Lower Breck on Saturday afternoon.
Keighley Cougars have been approached for comment.
