SILSDEN have boosted their attacking options further with the re-signing of goalscoring midfielder Kyle Hancock.

He played a key role in their North West Counties Football League Division One winning side of 2017/18, popping up with plenty of vital goals as the Cobbydalers racked up an incredible 103 points.

He was also part of the team that made a great start following promotion.

They topped the 2018/19 NWCFL Premier Division early on in the season, before fading away to finish ninth.

Hancock, who first joined the club on loan from Farsley Celtic at the end of 2015, was not around by the time Silsden made the move to the Toolstation Northern Counties East League Premier Division for this season, having taken some time away from the game.

But he is back now, and could be in line for his seasonal debut in this weekend's home game with Goole AFC.

He follows in the footsteps of fellow midfielder Mark Trueman, who having bounced around between Silsden and Thackley over the last few years, is now back in situ at the Cobbydale Construction Stadium.

Forward Chris Wademan also returned to the club earlier this year, after a spell out in Australia.

Discussing the good news, Silsden manager Danny Forrest said: "It’s great to have Kyle back in and amongst it.

"He’s had a little break from it all but has shown a desire to get back involved with us and I couldn’t be happier.

"He’s a player of quality and someone I know well.

"To have Kyle and the likes of Mark Trueman back involved will only benefit us, (they're) good footballers who make us stronger."
