HARROGATE Town Women are casting their net wide in their search for a new first-team manager for next season and are keen to attract potential candidates from the Bradford area.

The club have girls attending their player development centre from the city and host tournaments at their CNG Stadium home which invite teams from the district, including Eccleshill, Queensbury, West Bowling and Shipley.

Harrogate, who former Bantam Jon Stead now plays for, formed their women's side in 2016, the same time that the trendsetting 3G pitch was installed with both teams training on the surface.

Since then women's football at the club has gone from strength to strength with over 60 girls involved at the player development centre each week and the the first team enjoying two league promotions.

The women's development team is also excelling, further encouragement that meeting the FA’s directive to double female participation in football is within their sights.

Guiseley Women's AFC, which was a well established beacon of female football, dissolved in 2019 and Harrogate are keen to show that viable options to play football in West and North Yorkshire are still available.

The club would like to cast their net as far as possible in an effort to attract the most dynamic, qualified and experienced manager and coach to take the club to the next level.
