BRADFORD Bulls and Featherstone Rovers will once again compete for the Peter Fox Memorial Trophy this Sunday – in remembrance of the late, great, legend of rugby league.

Fox enjoyed two successful spells in charge of Bradford Northern, winning two league championships, having also secured silverware in charge of Featherstone.

Part of the famous Fox trio, he also played for Rovers as part of a glittering career within the sport that saw him inducted into the Hall of Fame at both clubs.

Featherstone first lifted the Memorial Trophy following their success against Bradford last May. It was presented by Fox’s wife and family.

Bradford Bulls director, Mark Kilgallon, said: “It is an honour for us to take part in the Peter Fox Memorial fixture and we hope to put in a performance befitting the occasion.

“Peter’s impact on both clubs – and indeed the sport – is still felt and that is a true sign of his standing within rugby league.

“The word legend gets banded about often in sport, but he is a true legend and on Sunday we will come together with Featherstone to remember him and pay our respects.”

Bulls said their thoughts remain with Peter’s family and friends.
