FORMER City manager Simon Grayson has been sacked by Blackpool, seven months after taking charge of the Sky Bet League One outfit.

It all started brightly for Grayson when he turned up for his second spell in the hotseat at Bloomfield Road last July, putting together a team who were firmly in the playoff picture.

However, the 50-year-old was handed his marching orders after only recording one win in the last 12 matches which has led to the Tangerines sliding down to 15th.

The ex Leeds boss was at the Bantams helm for a brief three-month period in 2018 capturing a dismal three wins in his 14 games as manager before departing that summer.

Grayson had made his way around the football league in his 15-year managerial career spending time at the likes of Huddersfield Town and Sunderland.
